Hi…. Wow, this seems like quite the planting season. First we waited for the rain to stop and the fields to dry out; then we planted like wild for 2 weeks……. and now we are waiting the rain out again. There is more planting to do, and yea – there is (very) soon to be hay.

In the mean-time, it has rained pretty hard around some areas of Wisconsin. Hard enough to cause soil erosion scars in fields that are already planted. Rats, and such a loss of soil!

What do you do now? Are you planning to fix any thing? Are you going to just let it be?

On fields where herbicides are not an issue yet, what do you think of light tillage to fill things in – then grain drill in some oats + brome grass mix?

Let’s start a string of comments on “what are you going to do with the soil erosion scars left in fields that are already planted? Go.
